Just a forewarning... I'm going to say a few things in a few ways here, that I know at least one certain someone is going to go into freakout mode over. Don't. This is just a post to represent my own personal "freakout" and nothing more. It does not impact reality outside of my head. Just consider this my seccond midlife crisis, ok?

I just got some news that I'm damn glad I didn't get until after I finished my article, because I know I wouldn't have been able to finish.

One of my best (female) friends is getting married this summer. Someone I've known for a long time, and can talk about things on a very special level that confuses the fuck out of anyone that knows either or us seperately. Someone that, for the space of 72 hours a long time ago, might be getting married to me, in a theoretical sense.

To put in short: I had the misfortune of asking her out less than three days after she accepted a date from her current fiance. I learned that both of us had been seriously musing dating the other for over a month, but had postponed because neither one thought the other would accept. It caused much... akwardness.

...Love is many things, none of them rational...

I'm going to go and wish that I had something alcoholic now, and try to think.

Cari just directed me to her desktop to show off a little picture she made. I decided that I'd upload it and then post it here. Probaby because I think she's embarassed by it, but I do also think that it is terribly cute. Ok, off to finish the vodka now.

No, I really am not a trekkie. I just couldn't think of a different "witty starting remark" to put there. Please forgive me, for I will certainly atone for that sin later on.

As you may have guessed, I'm just booting this sucker up recently. It'll be a while until I find myself pleased with the design; what design that I can manage, that is. Wasn't there a day where I could just put in my own HTML format for this? Oh well. I don't think that I currently have the motivation to do that.

So that there's actually something interesting on here, I'll fill you in on something I've recently started working on: Diamond Project. Someone reading this might know that I've been working on a webcomic insofar titled "The Devil You Know". Diamond Project is another webcomic, but completely unrelated. Take a bit of Final Fantasy, add in some Devil May Cry and a hint of Neon Genesis Evangelion for flavor. I'm not sure if that is a recipe for greatness, disaster, or really shitty muffins.

Basically the story started coming to mind a few days ago, and I've been developing it since. Unlike TDYK, which is fairly linear and so far has no theorized ending, DP very much does. In fact with DP a few crucial scenes came ot mind first and I've simply been figuring out what goes in between. TDYK has for the most part been written storry-by-story.

When it's finished, DP will have three sections: The main story, a prelude that should be both cool and answer a lot of questions (some that the characters would allready know, others will be things that the readers alone will be able to find from thier perspective), and a finale that will tie up as much as humanly possible. So far I would say that the story is about halfway pondered out, and I might start some sketches later this week. If I can get a scanner, I might even put some of them online (something that I refuse to do with TDYK until at least six months of 3/week is penciled, inked and digitized).

Cole/Out
